Non-resident tourist benefits

The benefits authorized on November 23rd, 2012, in which the total VAT fee applicable in the following operations paid via debit or credit cards issued abroad is reduced, will continue until July 31st.

Food services, restaurants, bars, canteens, patisseries, cafeterias, tea shops and the like, or hotels, motels, apart-hotels, inns, tourist accommodation, country hotels, tourist farms, country inns, country houses, camping sites and hostels, providing these do not include the concept of lodging. Catering services for parties and events, and car hire without a driver.

What is more, a tax credit of 10.5% was established on the gross amount of the agreed price of temporary rentals of properties for touristic purposes, providing the payment is carried out via the use of debit or credit cards issued outside the country and with a resident property manager acting as an intermediary to carry out the financial arrangements of the rentals.
